# Terms of Service for Second Opinion

## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Second Opinion ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Extension.

## 2. Service Description
Second Opinion is a Chrome extension that:
- Provides Second Opinion capabilities for ChatGPT responses using X.AI's Grok API
- Operates exclusively on chat.openai.com and chatgpt.com domains
- Requires Chrome sync to be enabled
- Requires Google account authentication

## 3. User Requirements
- You must have Chrome sync enabled
- You must be signed in with a Google account
- You must provide your own valid X.AI (Grok) API key for Second Opinion functionality
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key
- You agree to use the Extension in compliance with applicable laws

## 4. 4. Data Usage and Communications
- The Extension processes ChatGPT responses only when requested
- Your preferences and settings are stored using Chrome sync
- Your X.AI API key is stored in Chrome's sync storage
- Google account email is used for display, sync verification, and communications
- By logging in with your email, you consent to receive communications from us regarding product updates, new features, and promotional offers
- You may opt out of promotional communications at any time
- All data handling complies with our Privacy Policy (secondopinion.so/privacy)

## 5. Intellectual Property
- All rights, title, and interest in the Extension remain with Second Opinion
- Users may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Extension

## 6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
- The accuracy of Second Opinion results
- Continuous availability of the service
- Compatibility with future ChatGPT updates
- Uninterrupted access to X.AI's API services

## 7. Limitation of Liability
SECOND OPINION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- Errors or inaccuracies in Second Opinion results
- Issues arising from Chrome sync or Google authentication
- Problems with X.AI's API service
- Indirect or consequential damages

## 8. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Extension
- Update required permissions or functionality
- Change API integration methods
- Modify these terms as needed

## 9. Termination
- We may terminate access for any breach of these Terms
- Users may uninstall the Extension at any time
- Chrome sync data remains subject to Chrome's policies

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
